After casting your eye on Alexandra and Oliver’s wedding in Santorini, you are bound to be tempted by the beauty of the place. The couple had aways imagined their wedding at an English manor house with beautiful gardens, but had fallen in love with Santorini when they had holidayed there together. ‘The thought of getting married with the Santorini sunset in the background changed our mind,’ says Alexandra.
Alexandra and Oliver dated for fourteen months before getting engaged in a roof top restaurant overlooking the Bosphorus in Istanbul. ‘It was an amazing evening!’ says Alexandra. After getting engaged, they immediately started making plans for their destination wedding, and were helped by The Bridal Consultant. ‘They are based in Cheshire, but also have planners in Santorini,’ says Alexandra. The couple knew that they still wanted to maintain a traditional element to their overseas wedding rather than it being too casual. ‘If I had to summarise our wedding, I would say it was elegant and stylish with a touch of vintage,’ explains Alexandra.
