Bright and Bold Urban Tribal Wedding Styling

This post Bright and Bold Urban Tribal Wedding Styling first appeared on The Wedding Community Blog

Today’s magnificent urban tribal wedding inspiration will brighten your day. We’ve featured a lot of autumn and winter wedding ideas recently so I wanted to break it up a little with a burst of colour.

The team behind this shoot, lead by the very talented Carmela Weddings, chose a warehouse in Brixton as the perfect setting for these urban tribal styling ideas. A warehouse is the perfect blank canvas if you are looking to create something totally awesome and unique.

Against the stark white walls of the warehouse, the team created the most incredible, eye-catching floral displays, particularly the amazing suspended arrangement that floats above the table adorned with beautiful foliage and vibrant, bright flowers. The flowers carried through to the stunning bridal bouquet and the small table arrangements in pretty glass vases.

The vibrant flowers complement the styling concept perfectly. For the urban tribal wedding vibe, the team included lots of modern geometric details. I love the chevron table runner which creates a focal-point of the tablescape. The geometric patterns continue through the table names and cute glitter-dipped feather name places (I love a bit of glitter).

To carry on the concept are super-cute dreamcatchers hanging gracefully from the back of the chairs. Along with the chair details, the incredible wedding cake also features dreamcatchers as little gold threaded designs. When I say ‘incredible’ wedding cake, it really is, featuring the shoot’s geometric pattern and colours.

Also, if you are looking for inspiration for a bridal arch then look no further. The one featured in this shoot is very cool, and I may be using this a lunchtime treat on Facebook very soon!

Everything about this shoot is bold and modern with such attention to detail, and the bridal style is  stunning too. The team chose two different looks for the bride, each amazing – I’m not going to say any more as I want you to see it for yourself…

I hope you enjoy looking through the pictures of this incredible urban tribal wedding styling, taken by the fabulous Amanda Karen Photography. Enjoy!

Tribal Influences

“The inspiration for this shoot stemmed from the notion that we all have our own tribe, and in London that is our urban tribe! Taking inspiration from the bold colours and geometric patterns steeped through tribal influences, we celebrated the fun of colour against the urban warehouse style of Brixton East.”

Geometric Patterns

“A colour palette driven by bold and bright, blues and greens were the main theme throughout our urban tribal wedding shoot. Vibrant stationery utilised geometric patterns to bring the tribal feel, which then carried through with subtle embossing on the napkins and the chevron table runner. Dreamcatchers completed the backs of the chairs.”

Bold and Beautiful

“The flowers carried on the bold and beautiful theme. A stunning hanging floral arrangement suspended above the table, with greenery dotted with bright blooms, filled the room with an amazing scent. Smaller arrangements down the centre of the table, mimicked on the gold and glass cake trolley, offset the bright tableware. Our bride’s bouquet was elegantly wild with a delicate mix of greenery and blooms, all beautifully tied with silk ribbon.”

Gorgeous and Modern

“Bridal details are key to our style-conscious bride. Handmade hair accessories and jewellery were the perfect accompaniment to the gorgeous and modern bridal separates. The first look was a flowing tulle skirt with a high necked halter style top with gold neck lace detail. The second a more refined sleek look with a sculpted bodice and a puddle train.”

Made by hand, Shropshire Petal’s Wheat Sheaves and Wreaths make wonderful table centrepieces. Choose from two Wheat Sheaf and three Wheat Wreath designs, including natural and green wheat, dried flowers and your choice of ribbon.

For beautiful wheat wedding styling, place a Wheat Sheaf in the centre of round tables or several in a line down long dining tables. Combine with festive holly, berries and candles for natural Christmas wedding table displays. Lie Christmas Wheat Wreaths on the table and place a large candle in the middle for a pretty, chic table decoration.

Don’t let the children have all the fun though. Why not let the adults do the same to cast your own bit of Christmas magic amongst your guests? Get them all to make their wishes at the same time and ask your photographer to capture the special moment.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream Inspired Wedding Styling

This post A Midsummer Night’s Dream Inspired Wedding Styling first appeared on The Wedding Community Blog

Today I have something a little different for you, A Midsummer Night’s Dream inspired wedding styling ideas, with a fairyland concept. In the Shakespeare play, one of the characters is Titania, queen of the fairies, and this is where the vision of creating a fairyland came from.

This wedding styling is all about creating an enchanting fairyland filled with green moss, lush floral arrangements and whimsical touches. I love the colour palette of green, gold, rose blush and pops of darker plum and berry tones.

Using the woods for the ethereal fairyland setting worked so well. I love the suspended floral arrangements and delicate glass sun catchers dotted about.

For this shoot the team styled the most incredible pièce de résistance… a moss-covered table. They decorated the table with stunning floral arrangements, fruits and berries, and pretty place settings with oak slice chargers, pretty china and the most unusual twig-look cutlery.

The ‘fairy-esque’ bride looked amazing in a stunning lace wedding dress with delicate long sleeves worn over a pink under-slip. I love the large multicoloured butterfly and dragonfly tiara, perfect for the fairyland feel.

As well as her incredible wedding dress, the bride has such a fabulous bridal bouquet full of gorgeous blush-coloured blooms surrounded by greenery – you’ve gotta love an oversized bridal bouquet!

Whether you are looking for inspiration for a wedding based on your favourite Shakespeare play, an outdoor or woodland wedding, or just some ethereal wedding ideas, you will love these.

A big thank you to LeeYen Photography for sharing these amazing pictures.

Fairyland

“The seduction and magic of love is truly like a fairyland. Shakespeare wrote the greatest love stories of all time, and one of the most magical and uniquely different is the story of the Fairy Queen Titania and Oberon. Taking that magical, woodsy, ethereal fairyland and infusing it into A Midsummer Night’s Dream inspired wedding styling is a match made in heaven!

Fairy Queen

“Our Fairy Queen bride is regal and stately, whilst being fiercely feminine, and she portrays her magical powers in a seductive way. Her blush wedding dress features layer upon layer of soft, glitter-infused tulle under a unique art deco lace. The magnificent oversized lace train adds the drama she craves.

“Not to be outdone by anyone, she dons a power crown laden with fairyland friends. Pastel jewelled dragonfly’s and butterfly’s are her crown jewels. This exquisite firefly crown is the power statement indeed.

Magically Romantic

“The Kate Spade ‘Dragonfly’ china is elegant and simple, with gold-leaf place mats, wood and gold trimmed glass chargers atop a table of dripping moss, which brought the fairy feeling to life. Majestic florals and fruits stimulate the senses as they cascade everywhere.

“Brass garden stools, hand lettered gold place cards, Oberon type antlers as napkin rings and the centrepiece, fancy fruits to nibble on, along with ornate woodsy goldwear create a magically romantic setting.”

Sumptuous and Enchanting

“Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream is the perfect mix of magic and romance… with a touch of decadence. I immediately knew we should use lots of moss for a magical woodland setting. Drippy greenery, beautiful fruit, flowers and vines help it feel sumptuous and enchanting. Flowers with elegant shapes in rich jewel tone colours accent the dress and the table settings.

“To top it off, the exquisite lavender toned cake shows off handmade oversized sugar flowers.

“Even the wedding stationery incorporated the woodsy-fruit and flowers into the gold laden invitation suite.”

Relaxed, Romantic Italian Wedding Styling

This post Relaxed, Romantic Italian Wedding Styling first appeared on The Wedding Community Blog

Elopements are becoming more popular with couples who like the idea of having a smaller wedding celebration. If you fancy don’t fancy getting married with everyone you have ever known around you, it doesn’t mean you can’t have an amazing celebration and style your day just how you always imagined. This romantic Italian wedding styled shoot took place at Count Ceconi Castle in the Arzino Valley, and it is spectacular.

Bride and groom outside Count Ceconi Castle in Italy

Italy has long been one of the top destination choices for weddings and elopements abroad. It’s not too far to travel, the weather is amazing, and most of all it’s such a beautiful country. Making the most of the surroundings, the team created relaxed, romantic styling to showcase just how breathtaking your own Italian elopement could be. The details are simple yet elegant, and work beautifully with the muted tones of the colour palette.

The delicate styling details are so romantic; everything from the rustic-look wedding stationery to the pretty yet simple table place settings with small olive branches laid out over the delicate lace table runner.

The bride has a very relaxed style, the perfect choice to complement the natural surroundings. I adore her wedding dress by Halfpenny London – simple yet elegant. Together with a pretty lace bridal headband, sexy high-heeled sandals and a delicate floral bouquet (which matches the groom’s buttonhole and table floral arrangements), she has an almost boho look.

Simple and Attainable

“This gorgeous Italian wedding shoot was set in the grounds of Count Ceconi Castle, in the heart of the Arzino Valley. We took inspiration from the stunning surroundings – the muted tones of the castle stone and breathtaking valley. The ethos was to bring a relaxed and modern feel to the historic traditional setting of the castle whilst keeping it simple and attainable for couples looking to elope to this stunning setting.

“The couple shared calligraphy penned notes, a romantic addition to a first look or personalised wedding vows. The calligraphy extended through to the travel-inspired stationery and the table décor. Rose wine accented the blush and natural tones of the table, with greenery and delicate florals taken from the castle grounds.”

Elegant and Whimsical

“The exquisite Kate Halfpenny gown with intricate lace detailing and floaty chiffon skirt added an elegant and whimsical air to the bride. Our groom was dashingly dressed in a Ted Baker suit and patterned shirt. This created a relaxed feel whilst maintaining the style and sophistication of an Italian wedding.
