Hot off the New York bridal fashion week catwalk, the new BERTA Spring/Summer 2019 bridal collection is absolutely incredible. Sparkling wedding dresses with sequins, voluminous trains, feathers, flowing capes, sheer tulle details, plunging necklines and open backs… just wow!
BERTA’s design style is famous for bold, sexy and modern dresses that incorporate vintage materials and retro styles. This season’s collection added a twist never seen in a BERTA collection before – jaw-dropping full sheer illusion dresses that leave little to the imagination.
The BERTA Spring/Summer 2019 collection “breaks everything known to be ‘normalized’ in the bridal industry”. I really respect this, and it’s great to see pieces that are fresh, exciting and new. BERTA’s determination to translate an inspiration to the fullest resulted in a collection that is harmonious, charming, sexy, and confident.
Each dress features exquisite hand beading, and the attention to detail really shines through. Every dress has its own theme and entails hours of design and stitch work, dedication, love, and passion. If you’re looking for a wedding dress that will sparkle and shimmer in every light, then you will certainly find that in the BERTA Spring/Summer 2019 collection.
All effortlessly chic, I have so many favourites from this collection it’s hard to choose my favourites, but here goes…
This dress with a fit and flare silhouette, one shoulder form and dramatic fully layered detachable tulle overskirt is so unique. The full beaded pattern that adorns the sheer tulle will really make you sparkle.
If you’re looking for classic elegance with a modern twist then how about 19-10? The cute cap sleeve that flows into the sexy plunging neckline and then into the full fit and flare skirt is simply beautiful. The open back detail will really wow your guests as you walk down the aisle too.
Imagine the look on your groom’s face as you walk down the aisle towards him in this beauty. The sexy sheer plunging bodice makes this wedding dress a real showstopper. I adore the beautifully beaded half length sheer sleeve that adds a unique feature to this dress. Imagine dancing the night away in this fabulous sparkling full skirt.
The BERTA Spring/Summer 2019 collection has really wowed me, and I hope it wows you to. You can see the full collection in the gallery below, and find your nearest BERTA UK stockist at http://www.berta.com/retailers/bridal/#uk.

The Anne Barge Spring 2019 bridal collection is classic, timeless elegance at its finest. Renowned for timeless dresses with a contemporary twist, Anne Barge’s philosophy is simple – “Good design is timeless”. This really shows in the Spring 2019 collection.
Inspired by women who embody femininity, confidence and an innate sense of style, each design has a unique spirit, defined by the neckline and silhouette, and enhanced with refined detailing.
I adore the romantic feel of these wedding dresses and the modern take on classic silhouettes. Each style from the Anne Barge Spring 2019 collection is created using delicate, luxurious fabrics including Alençon lace and duchess satin. There is such an air of sophistication within this collection of dresses and stylish separates. Exquisite embellishments and beautiful beaded, embroidered lace grace the structured, modern designs, making them very special.
There are no alternative shades appearing in this spring collection, just a perfect palette of soft whites. This adds to the romance and timelessness of these beautiful dresses. But the feature I love most from the Anne Barge Spring 2019 collection is the addition of graceful capes…
This sweetheart A-line wedding dress has the prettiest beaded embroidery that forms flowers that cascade down the dress. The sheer tulle cape with pretty floral design on the shoulders adds such a beautifully romantic touch to the Chloe dress, don’t you think?
I absolutely love ‘Elle’; it’s my favourite dress in the Anne Barge Spring 2019 collection. Just look at this cape – it’s just so pretty with its short front and long back, and definitely an alternative to a veil. The exquisite cape delicately covers this Spanish stretch crepe dress with soft V-neckline and plunging back.
Aren’t these capes just adorable? If you love these wedding dresses then check out the rest of the fabulous dresses in the Anne Barge 2019 bridal collection below. To find our more visit www.annebarge.com.

Venue Name: Blackwell Grange
Location: Shipston-on-Stour, Warwickshire
Blackwell Grange is a breathtaking barn wedding venue in the Cotswolds, and parts of the venue date back to 1543. The family home of the Vernon-Millers for generations, the venue was initially a breeding stud for National Hunt racing and then a pedigree sheep farm. The latest incarnation of this idyllic setting is one of the finest wedding venues in the Cotswolds.
The venue has been open for around a year and a half following years of deliberation and planning. The project has been a real labour of love for the owners, and their commitment to making it extra special is clear in the result.
Blackwell Grange can accommodate 150 guests for a ceremony in the Thatch Barn and 150 for breathtaking receptions in the Orchard Barn.
Couples can start their day in the Potting Shed; a private space that’s perfect for pampering before the ceremony. The four-hundred-year-old Thatch Barn provides an atmospheric setting in which to say ‘I do’, while the purpose-built Orchard Barn offers plenty of space to enjoy wedding breakfasts and receptions. It also comes complete with a stylish bar and secluded Snug – a mezzanine floor that provides guests with a quiet space that’s not too far away from the fun.
At the end of the day, couples can retire to the luxurious Hayloft Honeymoon Cottage to unwind and relax in style. There’s plenty of remarkable outdoor space to make full use of too, including the Cider Lawn, Walled Herb Garden and the idyllic Chestnut Dell to name but a few.
The expert in-house caterers, Galloping Gourmet, provide the catering. They pride themselves on creating the finest wedding food and drink to make your day extra special. From spectacular canapés to fine dining and mouth-watering evening food, Galloping Gourmet offers a range of different menu options and even the choice to create your own with the chefs to make it truly tailored to your tastes.
Exclusive use comes as standard at Blackwell Grange, but the venue fee and catering costs depend on the wedding date. Please see the venue’s website for details of our great offers.
The Galloping Gourmet Events Team will help you plan and arrange your wedding day. From your first visit to when you leave the morning after your big day, your personal coordinator will be there for you.
Blackwell Grange combines traditional and contemporary like nowhere else, meaning couples can expect character and purpose-built luxury all in one place. Remarkable scenery comes as standard while the inimitable chic décor makes the venue really stand out.
There are so many incredible parts of the venue that make it so special. The dedication of the Events Team, the signature style of the venue, the breathtaking outdoor space… whatever you value the most, you will find at Blackwell Grange.
Blackwell Grange is working on plans to add guest accommodation, but currently provides an inviting honeymoon cottage for the couple to enjoy. The venue is happy to recommend many nearby accommodation options for guests.
Elegant, characterful and unique.
If possible, always try to visit a venue so you can see it first-hand. Photographs and websites can only do so much, and when you’re actually there you can experience the atmosphere and charm of the place.

If you are looking for some wedding flower inspiration then today I am taking you to floral heaven! I am so in love with this fabulous inspirational shoot, captured beautifully by Zehra Jagani at Owen House Wedding Barn in Cheshire.
Although it was originally created as a styled anniversary celebration, everything about this shoot oozes weddings. The soft colour palette of soft blues, ivory and subtle coral tones is so sweet and romantic. Florals including delphiniums, ranunculus, roses and eucalyptus create such a visual delight, and the floral chandelier is the perfect finishing touch, with hydrangeas taking centre stage.
The tablescape’s gold studded chargers, delicate mercury glass and silk napkins all add to the overall romantic look, and the glassware, candles, florals and foliage all all tie in with the romantic colour palette.
The rustic Owen House Wedding Barn was the perfect backdrop for these pretty wedding styling ideas…
“Iqra was over the moon when we discussed the idea of a white wedding dress editorial style shoot. Having had a traditional Pakistani wedding, she had always dreamt of wearing white. This was her chance to model yet live the dream of a white wedding – the perfect post-wedding shoot.
“Sadauf at The Wedding Fairy planned the decor and styling for the shoot, with blue and ivory hues for the floral arrangements, and a mix of corals and yellows for the latter part of the evening.
“I can only describe Sadauf’s very grand table display as heart-stopping, with candelabras dressed in coral and peach roses, blue delphiniums, dahlias, ranunculus and berries. The extensive collection of candles, teamed with the copper charger plates and navy blue napkins, provided a very intimate ambiance.”
“Iqra’s mum tailored her dress with a stunning lace fabric and tulle. No doubt it was a fun project for mum and daughter, and it was so lovely to see that kind of bond.
“From Faizan’s luxurious Dunhill shoes and an impressive IWC Schaffhausen watch, to Iqra’s Jimmy Choos and her sparkling wedding rings, there were so many beautiful details to photograph.
“Owen House Wedding Barn has so many pretty locations. The hay stack served as a lovely setting that gave us beautiful golden tones. With less light than we anticipated, we had about 15 minutes outdoors to capture some portraits before the sun set over rural Cheshire.”
