A Vintage Style Wedding At Hampton Court House In Surrey

I am in no doubt that you will love Hannah and Nello’s classic vintage style wedding as much as I do. Call me a romantic, but I just love how Hannah and her husband Nello first became acquainted. They met in a pub in Guildford and bonded over their love of Greece. ‘Nello is Greek/Italian and I had just finished working as an art teacher on a Greek island for the summer, ‘Hannah explains. They dated for three years before getting engaged. According to Hannah, their wedding venue Hampton Court House was definitely the starting point for planning the look and style of their wedding. ‘As I am an artist, I first of all designed a crest which featured a stags head which was sent out as our invitations on powder pink card, the crest was letter pressesd in gold to create a unique finish,’ says Hannah. ‘ The crest was also featured as a menu on the tables and on the table plan, the champagne was also served on silver trays with the emblem incorporated onto this. The next point to draw on was our nationalities, the wedding had infusions of Greece and Italy whilst the skeleton of the wedding was English.’

The couple’s classic vintage style wedding was photographed by Albert Palmer.

I just love this photograph of Hannah and Nello at their vintage style wedding reception.

I am a big fan of Hannah’s bridal style. Her wedding dress is a two-piece, the top half was made by a work colleague and a friend. As Hannah had such a clear idea of the look of her dress, she bought a strapless dress and together with June Williams, they designed the top. She also wore her mother’s veil with a pretty flower garland.

pastel flowers

Hannah and Nello’s flowers were done by Hananh’s mother and a friend. ‘They do flowers for lots of weddings,’ explains Hannah. ‘It is their passion, not a business.’

This was the incredible crest that artist Hannah designed for the couple’s wedding.

Hannah and Nello gave their guests bottles of olive oil as wedding favours, love this idea!

The couple's 'naked' wedding cake was made by Sweet Passion Cakes. Hannah and Nello were keen to use as many local businesses as possible. 'This shop is round the corner from mine,' says Hannah.
