Opulent Engagement Party Styling at OXO2

With love at the forefront of our minds today, firstly I would like to say Happy Valentine’s Day. Secondly, HUGE congratulations to those of you who get engaged today!

If you have just got engaged then why not celebrate your exciting news with your friends and family and throw an engagement party? Today I have some incredible engagement party styling inspiration created and styled by the talented event planners Just Bespoke, and captured beautifully by Sanshine Photography.

This styling concept is modern and elegant with an abundance of delicious food and drink and lots of pretty florals and romantic touches.

So, here’s to celebrating your engagement in style!

Riverside Engagement Party

“We wanted to bring together an elegant and opulent riverside engagement party to show how a few simple concepts can completely transform a blank canvas venue and create a fun and memorable occasion. The talented San Shawe was on hand to capture every element of the engagement party and her style worked perfectly for the occasion.

“When it comes to weddings and engagements, so much inspiration focuses on pastels and muted palettes. We wanted to show you can move away from these tones and create an elegant celebration using a rich and opulent colour palette. This would transform our chosen venue and also allow us to have some fun and create impact.

“A range of mixed metallics – rose gold, silver and some gold – brought an added level of luxury into the scheme. We applied the colour palette to everything from florals and furniture through to edible treats and stationery. We even spray-painted some ice cream cones with edible rose gold spray to ensure they fitted in!”

Four Distinct Zones

“The shoot location, OXO2, is a blank canvas with white walls and wooden floors. Floor to ceiling windows look out onto the River Thames with London’s iconic landmarks in the background. You couldn’t ask for a more central spot, right in the heart of the capital’s South Bank. As the venue is quite large we created four distinct zones – a welcome table, lounge area, bar and dessert table. This utilised the space well and also created a good flow for the party.

“Rosehip London’s large, impactful displays of blush, ox blood and purple flowers perfectly framed each element of the engagement party and showed how a few bold designs can really bring a design to life.

“Trays of champagne garnished with cherry blossom sat on our welcome and gifting table styled with large rose gold lanterns and balloon orbs.”

Elegant Bar

“Beautiful rose gold shelving, including small details of glassware, candles and small floral displays, framed our opulent and elegant bar .

“It was important to use premium quality furniture, but we also wanted slightly unusual items, different to standard hire products. GreatHire had just added a fantastic range of bars to their inventory, and the silver bevelled bar worked perfectly.

“A range of different glasses and trays in varying colours from Classic Crockery complemented our palette and created interest. This is a really cost-effective way of styling a party; it’s amazing what a few different shaped and coloured glasses do to create an impact.”

Edible Treats

“Monannie Cakes made the most amazing edible treats for our dessert table, from a show-stopping ‘Yes’ cake, to doughnuts with edible florals, salted caramel tarts with edible gold and some beautiful macarons and chocolates which we displayed in ice cream cones.”

Stylish Seating Area

“We love Georgina Read’s minimalist and modern stationery style, which incorporates a touch of luxe, and we felt it would be perfect for this shoot.

“The beautiful lounge area created a stylish seating area for guests to enjoy views of London whilst catching up with friends and celebrating the happy couple.

“Of course, no party is complete without amazing cocktails. Mr Flavour wowed us with some impressive concoctions including smoking cocktails and glow up refreshments.”
