The PapaKåta spring 2016 open weekend takes place on the 19th and 20th March at the Escrick Park Estate near York, where some of 2016’s top wedding trends will come to life in their gorgeous tipis and Sperry tents.
With many couples seeking an authentic wedding day experience, one of PapaKåta’s 2016 wedding trends is authenticity – old-fashioned quality, natural surroundings, honest sharing food, textural materials and stylish yet simple details.
With a clean palette and beautiful green foliage, the tipis and Sperry tents will be organically styled, with pops of pastel colour added using Rose Quartz and Serenity, Pantone’s 2016 Colours of the Year.
The PapaKåta team will be showing you how to give a sense of nature and warmth to any wedding by bringing the outside into their tents. Hanging frames and floral crowns are just some of the bespoke fixtures they have created that can be decorated with florals and foliage.
Lucy MacNicholl Floral Design will be creating beautiful floral designs in the tipis, and wedding cake designer Poppy Pickering will be showcasing some of her delectable creations. Working the key Pantone shades into calm green foliage, Firenza Floral Design will be styling their Sperry tent, including designing statement floral chandeliers.
Decor wise, tablescapes will include rustic-luxe details, and PapaKåta has added some new pieces to their on-trend finishing touches to help couples create a wedding chill-out lounge with a laid-back and homely feel.
PapaKåta will be introducing the popular 4m circular oak bar into their tipis, creating a show-stopping bar tent where Speakeasy Libations will be shaking up some inventive cocktails, as well as adding a super-stylish prosecco bar in the Sperry tent. Taking the feast back to its roots, Feast Yorkshire will be serving delicious family-style food sourced round and about Yorkshire.
