Are you feeling festive yet? With just over a week to go until the big day, I’m sure these festive red and green Nordic winter wedding styling ideas will help to get you in the mood! Last week I shared some very alternative Christmas wedding ideas in the ‘Merry Kitschmas’ shoot, but today’s shoot features festive winter styling with a traditional colour palette of red and green but with a modern, Nordic twist.
Christmas is my favourite time of year for weddings as I love the colours, sparkles and twinkling lights everywhere. If you are marrying at his time of year it is likely your venue will have Christmas decorations up, so you could work with these, but if you have a blank canvas then these Nordic winter wedding ideas are stunning.
You may think the shoot took place in Scandinavia, but actually it was right here in the UK at White Space Alresford, an old chapel in Hampshire. The styling team, led by Beth A Weddings, created a warm and cosy visual delight. A cute tulle-draped ceremony tipi, rustic sleigh and fabulous Christmas tree form the backdrop for the shoot. The tablescape is adorned with festive elements including mini Christmas trees, pine cones and stars, and for the cosy vibe the chairs are draped with blankets.
Florals form much of the styling, from the tipi arrangements to the beautiful modern floral rings, spectacular bridal bouquet and incredible floral bridal crown. I love an abundance of lush green foliage at this time of year, and together with berries and pine cones it makes for a festive delight.
