Is it possible to have a stylish Christmas wedding?
Of course it is. If you are at all hesitant that it is not, then Style & the Bride is on hand to ensure you that it is! When it comes to planning a stylish Christmas wedding, you have to remember the word ‘stylish’ as well as the word ‘Christmas.’ Just because you are planning on having a wedding around Christmas doesn’t mean it has to be overly themed. However, you will of course want to highlight that you are having a ‘Christmas’ style wedding, but the key to doing this is keeping it subtle. Don’t allow anyone to convince you that reds and greens are the colours to choose if you are having a Christmas wedding. These are obviously ‘Christmassy’ colours, but here at Style & the Bride, we much prefer a palette of white/gold/silver, in other words metallics. Rather than hang a Christmas tree at your reception, we like the idea of having 6ft white Manzanita trees that can be used for entrances, walkways or backdrops (available to hire from Twilight Hire). If you would prefer smaller height trees for your reception tables, they also have 3ft ones available.
When it comes to your bridal gown for a Christmas wedding, you can of course opt for a dress in traditional white or ivory. However, if you do want to choose something a little bit different, we love the idea of a wedding dress in pale gold or a gown with a touch of sparkle like the gown (below) by Jenny Packham.
