Short, long, sleeved, sleeveless, plain, ruffled, one piece, separates, silk, crepe, floaty, straight, skirts, trousers… the Rewritten SS19 collection of bridesmaid outfits has it all. An exciting celebration of vivid colour and fluid movement inspired by oversized, billowing silhouettes of the 1970s, ‘She Wears the Trousers’ features a heavy emphasis on the mix and match trend.
Rewritten designs for damn cool bridesmaids, creating beautiful outfits which are chic, sophisticated and a little bit bohemian. The Rewritten SS19 collection sees the beginning of an exciting new direction for the brand, where ‘available now’ styles sit seamlessly alongside select ‘made-to-order’ pieces, both online and in stores. New fabric and colour combinations also feature, with jewel tones brought to life in silk satin.
Soho Jumpsuit
There are lots of bridal jumpsuits around at the moment, and not just for brides. The Soho Jumpsuit with high neckline and belted sash waist is sexy and modern yet super chic too, and the wide leg palazzo trousers will allow just as much movement on the dance floor as any dress. Priced at £185, this style is made-to-order from lightweight draped crepe fabric and available in a choice of eleven colours.
Prague Dress
Another addition to the Rewritten SS19 made-to-order collection is the floor length Prague dress. This open backed, double layered design, with crepe bias cut camisole and long sleeved chiffon overlay, is the perfect style to take your maids from day to night. Priced at £250, Prague is available in four colours, including the gorgeous burgundy shade ‘Chianti’.
Oslo Dress
The Oslo dress features spaghetti straps, low back, and a detachable waist tie for a flattering fit. A beautiful bridesmaid style for sure, but you could also wear this midi length dress again after the big day to any summer soirée or event. Made-to-order, Oslo costs £125 and is available in ten colour choices.
Sydney Dress
Made-to-order from wonderful soft satin fabric, the floor length Sydney dress features plunging low back with cross detail, v neck and waist sash. Priced at £140, this seriously elegant bridesmaid dress is available in six different colours.
Berlin
Another floor length design, Berlin features a square neckline and adjustable shoulder/back ties you can wear in a number of ways. A sophisticated dress with subtle side split, Berlin costs £140 and is available in ten colour options.
Bridesmaid Separates
As mentioned, the Rewritten SS19 collection also features mix and match separates, all available in a choice of ten colours, for the ultimate in bridesmaids dressing. The flattering Amalfi trousers (£110) make for the most modern of bridesmaids looks, whether teamed with the Florence-inspired Koyoto wrap top (£120) or cross back Provence camisole (£75).
Or, perhaps you would prefer to pair one of these tops with the Sicily or Paris skirts? The long Sicily skirt (£100) features a subtle side split and creates a flattering column silhouette, whilst Paris (£95) sits just below the knee and includes side button detail.
The Rewritten SS19 collection ‘She Wears the Trousers’ is available to buy via their website (with a next day delivery option for ‘available now’ items), at the brand’s North London studio, and in selected stores.
