An Absolutely Brilliant Moment
“Leanna and Phil country themed wedding reception took place at the gorgeous Floral Media in Nottinghamshire, back in May 2017. To get the wedding reception in full swing, Leanna and Phil had their first dance. They chose ‘God Blessed the Broken Road’ by Rascal Flatts as their first dance song, which their band sang live.
“The bridesmaids and groomsmen stood ready with the confetti cannons at various points around the dance floor, with a signal to set them off at a certain point during the song. I had previously set up my off camera flash, like I usually do for the first dance, and had it behind Leanna and Phil. As I knew it would be an absolutely brilliant moment when the cannons went off, I was fully prepared to capture it… and what a moment it was!
“I would definitely recommend using confetti cannons for a first dance. It makes for such a great moment and a fabulous way to kick off the dancing!
“I am absolutely honoured this image was voted Picture of the Month. It’s definitely up there as one of my all time favourites.”
