This year Blooming Green is offering a laid-back hen party activity with a difference. Brides-to-be who buy their wedding flowers from Blooming Green are invited to bring their friends and family out to the Kent countryside for a bespoke wedding flowers course*, with the bride taking part for free.

During the course they’ll learn how to arrange pick-your-own flowers into a hand-tied bouquet, buttonholes and table decorations, in readiness for the big day. Or, the course can be simplified and tailored to their needs. As well as learning how to arrange gorgeous, seasonal flowers, Blooming Green can also offer delicious refreshments, barista-style coffee and locally produced sparkling wine.

Blooming Green’s ‘pick-your-own wedding flowers’ option makes stunning, seasonal flowers affordable to brides. Add to this the joy of picking flowers in an acre-plot and it’s no wonder pick-your-own wedding flowers is the perfect antidote to pre-wedding stress.

*Bespoke courses are available on Friday afternoons, throughout the summer, for groups of more than five people (plus the bride).

How Pick-Your-Own Wedding Flowers Works

Picking your own wedding flowers is an affordable option. Brides can order standard items, such as bouquets and buttonholes via the Blooming Green website then add to this with Pick-Your-Own buckets of flowers, to use as they wish. Or, they can make everything themselves, once they have been on a course.

A bucket of flowers and foliage, filled as full as you like for £55, should be enough for about ten table decorations / two hand-tied bouquets / a large pedestal arrangement.

The plot is open from 12noon-4pm from July to the end of September, for brides-to-be to drop in and check out the flower plot and meet Jen and Bek.
