The incredible pictures from Leonie and Nick’s fabulous wedding just go to show that you can really have the wedding that you want; a wedding which expresses who you both are.
Fancy a mink coloured wedding dress? Do it – that’s exactly what Leonie did and it’s spectacular.
Want a relaxed wedding reception in your local pub? Go for it. How about your own brewed beer? Oh yeah!
The styling details of this wedding, co-ordinated by London Bride, have an almost art deco feel to them, and the flowers and cake are simply amazing.
Take a moment to enjoy these beautiful images of Nick and Leonie’s super cool wedding, taken by Lovestuck Photography…
“Nick and I wanted a London pub wedding near to where we first met – a wedding that wasn’t too fussy and our friends could be involved in. Our small wedding we’d originally planned grew to about 110 guests as we couldn’t bear to leave anyone out!
“The look of our wedding evolved from our wedding stationery, which my friend Jess created based on a collage that I made. The colours, shapes and style from the stationery carried through our wedding styling on the day. Paper decorations in teal, coral and mustard shades featured heavily, and my friend Melissa made our beautiful wedding cake, using rice paper to match the design of the collage.
“We married in The Council Chamber of Islington Town Hall, which was really nice as we were surrounded by the smiling faces of our friends and family.
“As our guests entered the pub garden for the drinks reception I co-ordinated the wonderful choir, The Electric Belles, a Brixton based all-women choir my cousin Lizzie sings with. My brother in law, a brewer, brewed a special IPA for us, but it was so good the barrel was dry before I got a chance to taste it!
“My dress was by Matthew Williamson. It was mink-coloured and long and sleek with a bit of a cape at the top – just what I was after. It made me feel like a more glamorous version of myself. On the day I felt a lot more of a ‘bride’ than I was expecting – it turns out it’s not just the white dress that does it!”
