I’m so in love with the celestial trend that’s rocking the bridal world right now. It’s so beautiful but versatile too, and there is so much you can do with this concept to make your wedding unique. Today I’m sharing ideas from this wild celestial wedding shoot in the Goyt Valley.
This concept has a wonderful moody atmosphere, making the celestial ideas dark and enchanting. These edgy ideas not only encapsulate the celestial feel, but also include the 2018 Pantone colour ultra violet. Pops of ultra violet feature throughout the styling, giving the other darker colours a lift. From the gorgeous flowers and pretty purple crystals and geodes to the incredibly elegant floral wedding stationery, the ultra violet trend works beautifully in this shoot. I also adore the darker shades used, especially the awesome black, square tiered wedding cake with geode detail.
Dark Linen and Breathtaking Flowers
The tablescape for this wild celestial look is set upon dark table linen, which sets the tone for the styling. Each place setting is laid with pretty purple glass plate with the napkin elegantly draped over, with an agate and star for added detail. It’s simple and looks so beautiful. Crystals, geodes, agates, brass galaxy globe and breathtaking flowers complete the table styling.
Talking of flowers, the bridal bouquet is gorgeous; a mix of purple, blue and pink surrounded by green foliage. A few thistles added into the mix again give a nod to the wild side of the celestial look. Charming floral hoops suspended from the trees, with florals matching the bouquet and table design, add another lovely touch.
This shoot features two bridal looks. The first is an ethereal look where the bride wears an awesome floating blue tulle skirt with sheer lace top. For the second the bride wears a more traditional white dress, but teams this with black boots for an edgy look.
If you’re looking for alternative wedding inspiration then I’m sure you’ll enjoy these awe-inspiring wild celestial wedding ideas, captured in the Goyt Valley by Jade Maguire Photography.
Something Magical
“For this shoot we wanted to mix outdoor/elopement style wedding photography with a stylised twist; something you might not necessarily put together. We chose a celestial vibe with a paganistic twist, which is something very true to my heart.
“Set on having crystal everywhere, we selected the 2018 Pantone colour ultra violet, working carefully to create something magical. There’s something so dreamy about crystals, suncatchers, chimes, being outdoors in the wild, and hearing the river flowing and the wind rustling the trees. I love being back in nature.”
