And the winner is… James Tracey Photography!
Our congratulations go to James Tracey Photography, after this amazing picture received the most votes in our poll to win our February 2016 Picture of the Month. Taken at Grand Central Station, James explained how he created the blur effect in the shot in order to ‘capture the buzz of New York’…
“Anna and Andy had their secret wedding in New York last year. As there wasn’t a traditional day of celebrations we went around New York taking photos at a mix of classic and cool locations. Anna really wanted a ‘wow’ shot in Grand Central Station, as she loves the building and architecture.
“I wanted the image to capture the buzz of New York and have some movement in there, so I positioned the couple centrally and then balanced the camera on the wall with a slightly slower shutter speed to blur the walking passengers.
“It took a few takes but when it came off I was delighted. I feel this captures the romance of the wedding with the hustle and bustle of New York, and it’s my favourite ever wedding photo!”
