Today’s magnificent urban tribal wedding inspiration will brighten your day. We’ve featured a lot of autumn and winter wedding ideas recently so I wanted to break it up a little with a burst of colour.
The team behind this shoot, lead by the very talented Carmela Weddings, chose a warehouse in Brixton as the perfect setting for these urban tribal styling ideas. A warehouse is the perfect blank canvas if you are looking to create something totally awesome and unique.
Against the stark white walls of the warehouse, the team created the most incredible, eye-catching floral displays, particularly the amazing suspended arrangement that floats above the table adorned with beautiful foliage and vibrant, bright flowers. The flowers carried through to the stunning bridal bouquet and the small table arrangements in pretty glass vases.
The vibrant flowers complement the styling concept perfectly. For the urban tribal wedding vibe, the team included lots of modern geometric details. I love the chevron table runner which creates a focal-point of the tablescape. The geometric patterns continue through the table names and cute glitter-dipped feather name places (I love a bit of glitter).
To carry on the concept are super-cute dreamcatchers hanging gracefully from the back of the chairs. Along with the chair details, the incredible wedding cake also features dreamcatchers as little gold threaded designs. When I say ‘incredible’ wedding cake, it really is, featuring the shoot’s geometric pattern and colours.
Also, if you are looking for inspiration for a bridal arch then look no further. The one featured in this shoot is very cool, and I may be using this a lunchtime treat on Facebook very soon!
Everything about this shoot is bold and modern with such attention to detail, and the bridal style is stunning too. The team chose two different looks for the bride, each amazing – I’m not going to say any more as I want you to see it for yourself…
I hope you enjoy looking through the pictures of this incredible urban tribal wedding styling, taken by the fabulous Amanda Karen Photography. Enjoy!
Tribal Influences
“The inspiration for this shoot stemmed from the notion that we all have our own tribe, and in London that is our urban tribe! Taking inspiration from the bold colours and geometric patterns steeped through tribal influences, we celebrated the fun of colour against the urban warehouse style of Brixton East.”
Geometric Patterns
“A colour palette driven by bold and bright, blues and greens were the main theme throughout our urban tribal wedding shoot. Vibrant stationery utilised geometric patterns to bring the tribal feel, which then carried through with subtle embossing on the napkins and the chevron table runner. Dreamcatchers completed the backs of the chairs.”
Dreamcatcher Designs
“The cake had handcrafted dreamcatcher designs with gold threading, finished off with a blue and green geometric icing band around each layer.”
Bold and Beautiful
“The flowers carried on the bold and beautiful theme. A stunning hanging floral arrangement suspended above the table, with greenery dotted with bright blooms, filled the room with an amazing scent. Smaller arrangements down the centre of the table, mimicked on the gold and glass cake trolley, offset the bright tableware. Our bride’s bouquet was elegantly wild with a delicate mix of greenery and blooms, all beautifully tied with silk ribbon.”
Gorgeous and Modern
“Bridal details are key to our style-conscious bride. Handmade hair accessories and jewellery were the perfect accompaniment to the gorgeous and modern bridal separates. The first look was a flowing tulle skirt with a high necked halter style top with gold neck lace detail. The second a more refined sleek look with a sculpted bodice and a puddle train.”
