Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Summer Glow Make-Up
This post Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Summer Glow Make-Up first appeared on The Wedding Community Blog
Are you looking to create your own make-up look for your wedding? Do you want to capture the radiance of the sun for an endless summer glow? If so, the Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Summer Glow make-up collection is the perfect choice.
This is a collection of glowing, illuminating and bronzing products to achieve a sun-kissed radiance. The collection includes two palettes, a new multi-tasking lip and cheek essential, a luxurious liquid illuminator and bronzers.
I love it when I get new make-up, and these Estée Lauder products are a firm favourite of mine. I adore the luxury feel of the chic gold case, and anything with a shimmer is a winner for me too!
Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Summer Glow Eyeshadow Palette
The Summer Glow Eyeshadow Palette includes six sunlit shades that highlight, define and dramatise eyes. From brilliant shimmers to softened mattes, each shade helps sculpt and define eyes for a smouldering and sultry effect.
The colours, designed to complement a sun-kissed bronzed skin tone, work so well together. At first I was a little wary of the teal but actually it looks incredible with the other shades. The palette includes a dual-ended applicator and mirror in a gold case.
Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Summer Glow Multi-Palette
Do you love giving your cheeks a glowing, bronzed look? You will love the Summer Glow Multi-Palette because it helps sculpt and define your look with soft, shimmering colour for a natural glow.
With the three shades it’s easy to create a luminous, contoured look. I always find creating the perfect contour rather challenging, but not anymore! You can use the buildable shades separately as highlighter, blush and contour powder, or blended together for an all-over, sun-kissed glow.
Each shade utilises a unique suspension of pigments and pearls to create a spectrum of finishes. As a result this delivers a bronzed, sun-kissed face, flushed cheeks and luminous glow.
Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Lip and Cheek Summer Glow
This product should be your new make-up essential! Lip and Cheek Summer Glow is a dual-ended 3 in 1 multi-tasking colour stick for lips and cheeks. On one end, the hydrating cream colour stick adds a burst of revitalised colour to cheeks and lips for a naturally pretty flush.
Then as a finishing touch you can use the opposite end to apply a fresh pop of colour with a glossy finish. Lip and Cheek Summer Glow is available in three shades, Fuchsia Lights, Peach Glow and Sunburst.
Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Summer Glow Illuminator
Finally, Summer Glow Illuminator is a drop of liquid summer. It glides on to enhance a sun-kissed bronzed look, and instantly illuminates skin. It’s perfect for highlighting and contouring cheeks, brow bones, or giving your face an all over glow, and skin looks luminous and enhanced with dimension.
You can wear the oil free formula alone or layered with foundation to add luminosity to skin. It is also perfect for all skin types and tones.
It doesn’t matter what time of year you are getting married, the Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Summer Glow make-up collection is all you need to radiate on your wedding day. These products are so easy to use and you will look like you have had your make-up applied by a professional.
So what are you waiting for? Now is the time to update your make-up bag.

A Guide to a Stag Weekend in Cardiff
This post A Guide to a Stag Weekend in Cardiff first appeared on The Wedding Community Blog
Cardiff always appears top 10 UK stag destination lists, and it’s easy to see why. With amazing attractions, nightlife and activities, Cardiff has everything a stag group could want. Today Anthony Page of Welsh Games shares his guide to a stag weekend in Cardiff…
Seeing off the stag before his big day has certainly changed over the years. At one time just a few drinks down the local would precede tying the poor drunken soul to a lamp post. This would have been enough to see him off in style. Today the options for a stag do are limitless, with many destinations and activities to provide great content for that all-important best man’s speech.
Stag weekends have certainly become adventurous and action-packed affairs, and can take a lot of planning. The first job for the best man is to choose a destination. It’s become very popular to head over to a European city like Prague, Barcelona or Krakow, and for sure these are great places to send the stag off in style.
But how about a little closer to home? A city such as Cardiff, the Welsh capital, has pretty much everything that any other European destination has to offer. If you have a Cardiff stag weekend you won’t have the headache of organising flights, ensuring everyone has their passport and arrives at the airport on time. All you need is a few quid to pop over the bridge and you’ll be warmly welcomed to one of the UK’s friendliest and most dynamic cities.
Cardiff being an important centre is easily accessible from anywhere in the UK and has an extensive range of accommodation, places to eat and, most importantly, lots and lots of bars!
Activity Ideas and Itinerary
Here are one or two activity ideas, and a potential itinerary for a memorable (or not!) stag weekend in Cardiff…
Friday Night – Enjoy the Cardiff Nightlife
Hit up the city’s nightlife, which is one of the most diverse in the UK with everything from designer bars to Irish pubs.
Saturday Day – Wacky Welsh Games
Have a break from the city and head out into the wonderful surrounding Welsh countryside for some fun group activities. One such idea is to take part in the hilarious group activity, Welsh Games, which has quickly become Cardiff’s most popular group activity.
A day out here includes nine wacky activities using large inflatable, catapults and fat suits. You won’t stop laughing as you take part in games such as Sheep Shenanigans, Drunk Dragons, Welsh Celebrity Knockout and the Rugby Run.
Saturday Night – Dine, Drink and Party!
Hit the bars again and dine at one of Cardiff’s many eateries. One idea is to start off around the Mill Street area, which has lots of different places to line the stomach before the madness starts.
Cardiff’s liveliest pubs and clubs are centred on St Mary Street. It’s closed off to traffic on Saturday nights and provides boundless opportunities to send the stag off in style. If the stag is still going strong as the evening wears on then head to the Castle Quarter, home to nightclubs and trendy bars.
Your party won’t want for late night food options to soak up all that Brains. The city is awash with kebab and fast food joints.
Sunday Day – Cardiff Tours
Time to shake off the hangovers and go see a bit of the Welsh capital. There are many options for tours around the city, and here are a few ideas…
Buy a ‘hop on, hop off’ bus pass and see all the city has to offer. These generally leave Cardiff Castle on the hour and are a great way to get around and blow away the cobwebs. Of course, many stops are near great pubs!
Perhaps a better way to tackle those cobwebs is to head to the iconic Millennium Stadium and experience one of their tours. They run daily from 9am until 5pm and last around 40 minutes.
If your group is still feeling it from the night before then why not head out into Cardiff Bay? There are heaps of boat operators that are more than happy to take your party out fishing, or perhaps sail to Flat Holm island for the day.
Whatever you choose to do for your stag weekend in Cardiff, you really can’t go wrong with the Welsh capital. It’s compact enough to get around but important enough to have everything. The Welsh countryside is a stone’s throw away too if you want a change of landscape. Oh, and not forgetting the friendly Welsh lasses!
Cardiff really is a knockout destination.
Cardiff Stag Weekend Essentials
How to get to Cardiff…
M4 motorway. Rail Connections from London, Bristol and the rest of the UK. Cardiff Airport serves other UK destinations.
When to go…
Cardiff is a year-round destination, but ideally try and plan from April to October when outdoor activities such as Welsh Games and Bay Boat Trips run.
A stag weekend in Cardiff is good for…
Bar crawls, outdoor group activities, city sightseeing, sporting events, water sports.

Handmade Autumn Wedding Decorations
This post Handmade Autumn Wedding Decorations first appeared on The Wedding Community Blog
So it’s officially autumn. Time to swap your flip-flops for boots, white wine for red, and pretty summer weddings for cosy autumn ones. We love an autumn wedding, especially one with handmade autumn wedding decorations.
You might be put off by the word ‘handmade’ but don’t be. There are so many beautiful ideas for handmade autumn wedding decorations, and they are all so easy to make. Not only will they enable you to create the exact wedding you want, but it is also generally cheaper than buying decorations.
Anything from simply collecting beautiful autumnal leaves and writing your guests’ names on them with metallic pen as place names, to dipping acorns in cold paint to use on top of your wedding cake. You could dip leaves in different coloured glitter and create a leaf garland, or perhaps make toffee apple wedding favours.
Just look around our hedgerows at this time of year to see the juicy blackberries. Together with nuts they make fantastic autumn wedding table centrepieces, and also double-up as your wedding guests’ edible treats!
The ideas really are endless for creating handmade autumn wedding decorations, and here are just some of those beautiful ideas.

Secret Garden Wedding Styling
This post Secret Garden Wedding Styling first appeared on The Wedding Community Blog
The Secret Garden was always one of my favourite childhood films. I loved the mystery that lay behind the locked walled garden. A Secret Garden wedding with styling inspired by the story would be a fabulous way to recreate that magic and mystery.
Think English country flowers, rustic gardening tools, old keys, wooden crates, mirrors, moss and generally a floral overload!
Here are some beautiful ideas for creating your very own secret garden wedding.

Getting to Know – Entertainment Nation
This post Getting to Know – Entertainment Nation first appeared on The Wedding Community Blog
Interview With: Paul
Company Name: Entertainment Nation
Website: www.entertainment-nation.co.uk/wedding-bands
Location / Coverage: Nationwide
Who are Entertainment Nation?
Entertainment Nation is the UK’s most exciting entertainment agency! We represent the finest wedding bands, performers and entertainers in the land. We love to match up happy couples with their perfect wedding entertainment.
How did Entertainment Nation get started and how long have you been going?
Entertainment Nation was born after many years playing in bands and booking weddings through other agencies. My business partner and I realised we could provide a better service than what was out there at the time. We’ve been going for many years now and continue to grow year after year.
Why are you called Entertainment Nation?
Because we bring entertainment to the nation!
Where do you cover?
As our name suggests, we cover the whole of the UK, as well as weddings in Europe and farther afield. We have bands situated across the country, so no matter where our clients are located they can book a brilliant local wedding band.
What service can Entertainment Nation provide for a wedding?
We provide the complete wedding entertainment package. From acoustic duos and string quartets for the pure romance of the wedding ceremony, through to exciting rock and pop or soul, funk and motown bands for the ultimate wedding reception party.
What sets Entertainment Nation apart from other wedding entertainment and live music agencies?
Our intimate knowledge gained from not only arranging wedding entertainment but also decades of experience of actually performing in wedding bands. We know exactly what works at a wedding and share this expertise with our clients to give them a personalised service that surpasses all their expectations.
What type of music acts can you provide?
If you think of it, we can provide it! Well, we are a little light on thrash metal bands, but fortunately there isn’t a great deal of demand for them at weddings!
On our books we have pop, rock, indie, funk, soul, Motown, swing, jazz, blues, disco, dance and R’n’B – and that’s just the bands! We also have a range of vocalists, classical musicians, pianists and other varieties of entertainment to choose from.
If couples are looking for something a little different, what type of themed acts do you offer?
Huge trends right now are vintage and festival themed weddings. We have a number of excellent vintage themed acts and festival style acoustic folk bands (think Mumford and Sons) to put the finishing touch to a themed wedding. Alternatively, couples can choose from non-musical entertainers like caricaturists and magicians.
If a couple is looking for a niche act not found on our roster they should get in touch anyway because we’ll use our extensive contacts to find the act they’re looking for.
What have been the top music acts of 2016 so far?
Pop and rock bands are still the number one hit for evening wedding receptions. Delivering genre-spanning hits from across the decades ensures that the dance floor is pumping all night long!
What do you think will be hot trends for wedding entertainment next year?
We don’t expect the demand for vintage acts and festival style bands to slow down, so couples should make sure they book early. Many dates for 2017 are already fully booked.
What’s the best thing about your job?
The best thing is being part of making a couple’s day perfect. When our clients let us know what a special day they had and how their band were a massive part of making it so it makes all the hard work worthwhile.
Random question… If you could provide entertainment for anyone’s wedding, who would it be and what would you provide?
We’re all huge Stevie Wonder fans at Entertainment Nation. We’d have loved to have been in the band at his wedding, maybe even sharing the stage with the main man for a couple of his classic numbers!
What’s your typical day like (we know two days are never the same in the wedding world!)?
You pre-empted my answer! When you run an entertainment agency and play in a wedding band, every day is different! So one day I might be an accountant and the next a director for a promotional video shoot.
Just as no two working days are the same, no two weddings are the same. It’s a privilege to attend so many couples’ special days and see the love and creativity that goes into making each one unique.

Picture of the Month – August 2016
This post Picture of the Month – August 2016 first appeared on The Wedding Community Blog
And the winner is… Peter Anslow Photography!
Our congratulations go to Peter Anslow Photography, after this incredible picture received the most votes in our poll to win The Wedding Community’s August 2016 Picture of the Month. Taken at Jenny and Amanda’s Rochdale Town Hall wedding, Peter explained how his wife helped him get this stunning shot…
“I’m so thrilled to have won The Wedding Community’s Picture of the Month for August 2016, especially with the quality of the photographers (and photographs) involved.
“The photo was taken earlier this year at the lovely wedding of Jenny and Amanda at Rochdale Town Hall. It was a venue I had never been to before. So the week before I paid a visit to check out the venue but it was closed. This meant I only had the day of the wedding to look for some great photo opportunities. I wasn’t disappointed.
“I didn’t have much time, and being super self-critical there are one or two things I would have done differently. However, I’m still very pleased with the picture and, more importantly, Jenny and Amanda absolutely love it.
“My wife, Angela, is actually sat on a step behind the couple with my off camera flash. I wanted to show not only the love between Jenny and Amanda, but also the outstanding architecture surrounding them.
“To top the day off, a couple of guests didn’t turn up so Jenny and Amanda asked if we would like to stay and celebrate with them, and we had a lovely meal – perfect!”

A Bright and Colourful Colony 29 Wedding
This post A Bright and Colourful Colony 29 Wedding first appeared on The Wedding Community Blog
We are absolutely delighted to be sharing with you the fabulous pictures of American actress Katie Leclerc’s wedding to film director Brian Habecost. We love everything about their Colony 29 wedding. The couple’s love of bikes, the dogs in tuxedos, beautiful outdoor ceremony, cool chill out lounge, popsicles, tablescapes to make you swoon, and the cactuses. Oh, and the colours; peach, blush, bronze and mustard – the bridesmaid rock these colours!
We hope you get a tonne of inspiration from this fabulous wedding, and the wonderful pictures by Gideon Photography…
When actress Katie Leclerc and casting director Brian Habecost met on a movie set they hit it off right away. But when shooting finished she went back to Texas and he stayed in Los Angeles.
A Proposal Straight Out of a Movie
They spoke every day until Katie moved back to California, when their romance blossomed. Then, about three-and-a-half years later, Brian proposed in a way that was straight out of a movie.
Katie woke up surrounded by streamers, flowers, lots of balloons and photos from their relationship.
“Brian had decorated the entire house,” Katie recalls. “And since we’d just moved in, there was no furniture, just these reminders of us. Flowers lined the hallway to the living room, where there was a huge banner that read, ‘Katie will you marry me?’ When I saw it, he got down on one knee.”
Fun and Festive Colony 29 Wedding
The wedding was just as fun and festive as the proposal. The couple and their 140 guests ventured down to Palm Springs, California, for a wedding at Colony 29.
Their love of having a blast, being outdoors, riding their bikes, and playing games like Cards Against Humanity were all included in the celebration.
